FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES DURING THE PANDEMIC

In line with sectors of our society re-opening under Government supervision, charities have been instructed by the Government, The Fundraising Regulator and the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, that they can re-commence fundraising activities in an attempt to get funding back on track in these difficult times.

Fundraising activities are absolutely vital to the lifesaving work of the County Air Ambulance HELP Appeal, as we don’t receive a penny from the Government or National Lottery.

All of our fundraising activities are undertaken in line with Government guidelines, and our fundraisers have undertaken extra training to ensure the safety of both themselves and the general public. All fundraisers wear PPE, and practice social distancing to ensure a contactless interaction.

During the pandemic we are managing to keep our services functioning, taking into account the extra safety measures required to protect all involved, and proudly serving those in desperate need in our communities.

All fundraising activities will be kept under regular review, and should the need arise, we will amend our work as required.

Q. Who can play the lottery?

A. You must be over 16 years of age and a resident of Great Britain in order to play the lottery.

Q. How do I join the lottery as a subscription member?

A. Click the Subscribe link to download the application form. All the information about the lottery can be found on the form. Simply print the form, fill it in and post it off.

Q. I’ve paid my subscription, why wasn’t my ticket in the draw?

A. The most common reason is that your first payment has not yet been received (or was not received in time for the draw deadline for this draw). Please allow sufficient time for us to process your membership and if you pay by standing order, allow a further 2 weeks for the bank to process it. Some banks can take up to two weeks to process standing order mandates.

Another possible reason why your ticket may not be in the draw, is that there are not exactly 52 weeks in a year, so all members paying by standing order or direct debit will miss a week in the draw at some point. This missed week may occur at any time, depending on your payment date, but once it has occurred it should not happen again for a few years. If your situation does not fit any of these descriptions, and you believe that your ticket should have been entered in this draw. Please contact us immediately by clicking the Help link, so that we can investigate.
